The Red Well-Read Reader

                                                                                                        Story 45
                                                                     Football Fame

If a boy wants to play football, and if he is good at

the game - then he might gain a well-known name

                                                 and have trophies to en-frame.

But a loss could be his blame and result in shame.

Or worse, he could be rendered lame.

All the same, if his mind be properly framed and his heart inflamed, then he

should add to the fame of a u•ni•ver•si•ty such as Notre Dame.

                                                                                                        Story 46

                                                   The Lame Game

‘Tis the blame of the hunter's poor aim that he has no game to

claim. And what's more, what a shame - now the poor little deer

is maimed, and it will forevermore hobble lame.
