                                                                                             The Horse Thief

“I’ll be brief,” said Big Bull, the Sioux Indian chief. “It’s my firm belief that we

must scalp the horse thief. He steals our ponies and sells them as beef.

“He has brought us nothing but grief. He will never turn over a new leaf, so only

        his death will spell relief.”

                                                                                                        Story 110
                                                    No More Leeks

Zeke, the Greek, worked for an Arabian sheik. He managed to eke out a meek

        existence selling onions called leeks.

Working this job week in and week out made his clothes reek.

As time went by his stink stunk so much his sleek, chic Monique would angrily

shriek. She refused to give him so much as kiss on his cheek. Terribly disturbed,

he threw his clothes into a creek and told the sheik – a new job he would seek !
