                      Message from the President

                      Dear UCMAS Family members
We once again welcome a new year that brings with it a message of hope. A
dawning of a brand new chapter in our lives. It’s a reset button. It’s an
opportunity to reinvent ourselves but only if we have the strength to keep
moving forward. It’s one thing to sit down and create a long list of New Year’s
resolutions, and it’s another to have the self-discipline to follow through with
                                                  them.

So, My dear friends! What are you willing to do differently this year? This year
instead of sitting down and coming up with a massive list of resolutions or
covering your wall with a visualization map — come up with one thing that you are willing to do
and then just do it. You don’t need to prepare. You don’t need to buy anything else to make it
                      happen. Just do one thing.
Instead of worrying about tomorrow or wondering how you are going to stick with it all year, just
take one small step today in the right direction. As the ancient sage Lao-Tzu reminds us, “The
journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

Don’t waste any more time preparing — Just start walking and create the life you were meant to
                      live!

On a professional note, I know all of us have worked really hard to ensure that we grow and move
in the right direction. But like I said, 2017 is a new opportunity to do something different and
something better! 2016 saw UCMAS in North America achieve new heights. We has a record number
of participants in our National Competition. We had a record number of participants in the Interna-
tional Grading Exams. For the first time ever, UCMAS Canada students participated in the UCMAS
International Competition held in Dubai. And to top it off, every single participant won an award at
the competition. It is a great honour for us and a testament to the quality of education we offer
                      here in North America.
Like I mentioned, after we achieved a lot in 2016, what are we willing to do differently this year?
For one, we are placing our bets on the digital world. We all know that digital marketing is taking
over the regular old school marketing media. As a company UCMAS has always moved with time
and UCMAS North America has decided to move our major Joint Ad Campaign to digital media like
Google Ad Words, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and LinkedIn. 2017 will also see the launch of at
least 2 divisions of UCMAS in North America - DinoArt (a completely revamped program) and Glori-
                      ous English.

Finally I would like to say, it is a pleasure doing business with you, thank you for all the trust in us,
we are looking forward to a new year filled with plenty of work and opportunities. Another year
and another set of a whole new change will come up but what you won’t have to change is the
formula of hard work to get good results. Keep working hard and persevere to achieve your desired
                      success. Happy New Year 2017!

                      Anand Karia
President, UCMAS Canada, USA, India and Mexico
