14. Livestock Welfare
14.1 Procedure of Livestock Welfare
The birds in the farm are housed in an environment of minimum stress with
sufficient floor space, good ventilation and an uninterrupted supply of quality
feed and clean potable water. These are important criteria for good performance.
Birds loaded into crates during depletion are subsequently sprayed with water to
reduce heat stress and transportation losses.
Injured and infected birds are culled humanly and disposed using incinerator.
