Philippines Takes Part in Le Salon Du Café / Thé
The Philippines, through the Mountain Province Espresso
Bar, along with 12 other countries, participated in the Le Salon Du
Café / Thé, a coffee/tea tasting fair at the United Nations
headquarters in New York on 18 May 2017.
The Philippine Consulate General in New York invited
Mountain Province Espresso Bar to participate in the fair to give
them added exposure and to be able to assist in efforts to introduce
Philippine coffee brands to the international audience.
Mountain Province Espresso Bar is a Filipino owned and Philippine-
inspired coffee shop located in Brooklyn, New York, which
specializes in organic coffee imported from small growers in the
Philippines, particularly from Benguet. During the fair, guests were

The Mountain Province booth attracted about 120 guests at the fair, including members of the diplomatic corps,

The fair was sponsored by the Arab Ladies at the United Nations (ALUN) and the United Nations Correspondents
Association (UNCA). Personnel from the Philippine Consulate General and the Philippine Mission to the U.N., led by Deputy
Consul General Felipe F. Cariño III attended the event and assisted Mountain Province Espresso Bar during the fair.
Philippine Specialty Food Products Compete in 2017 New York Fancy Food Event
From Luzon to Mindanao, the best specialty food products from the
Philippines were on full display beside major international food brands at the
2017 Summer Fancy Food Event held at New York’s Javits Center from 25-
27 June.
