                                     101.  THE   CLATTERER        (AL-QARI‘AH)

                                      In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

                                  1  The Clatterer!  2  What is the  deeds weigh heavy on the scales,

                                  Clatterer?  Would that you knew  7 will have a most pleasing life.

                                  what the Clatterer is! [It is] a  8 But as for him whose deeds are
                                                                             9
                                  Day when mankind shall be like  light on the scales, the Abyss
                                               5
                                                                            10
                                  scattered moths  and the mount-  shall be his home.  What will
                                  ains like tufts of carded wool.  convey to you what this is like?
                                  6  Then, the one whose good  11  It is a blazing fire.

                                      MORE    AND    MORE     (AL-TAKATHUR)

                                      In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

                                  1  Greed for more and more  truth with certainty,  you would

                                  distracted you [from God]  till  see the fire of Hell.  You would
                                                    3
                                  you reached the grave.  But you  see it with the eye of certainty.

                                  will soon come to know. But  8 Then on that Day you shall be
                                  you will soon come to know.  questioned about your worldly
                                  5 Indeed, were you to know the  favours.
