103. THE PASSAGE OF TIME (AL-ASR)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
1 I swear by the passage of time, exhort one another to hold
2 that man is surely in a state of fast to the Truth, and who
loss, 3 except for those who exhort one another to stead-
believe and do good deeds and fastness.
104. THE BACKBITER (AL-HUMAZAH)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding Would that you understood
back-biter, 2 who amasses what that crushing torment is

wealth, counting it over, like. It is a Fire kindled by God.
3 thinking that his wealth will 7 Reaching right into the hearts

make him live forever. By no of men, 8 it closes in on them
means! He shall surely be cast from every side 9 in towering
into the crushing torment. columns.
105. THE ELEPHANT (AL-FIL)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
1 Have you not seen how your flocks of birds, which pelted
