Initial Focus of the Association
• The standardization of member compliance modules on three levels:
- Statutory compliances.
- General labour legislation compliance, especially practices exempting a stadium/
arena/facility from any claims of second generation employment claims by
employees of service providers/contractors via an adopted event specific standard Initial Focus of the Association
with the assistance and recommendations and precautionary mechanisms from a
registered employers’ organisation (The Guardian Employers Organisation), and
- Registered Hosting (stadium/arena/facility) Module Compliances.
• Event accreditation application and assistance with the event accreditation
application for registered members of the association.
• An independent and objective event accreditation process per registered Managed
Service Provider (MSP) and per employee. This includes employees of a registered
hosting member.
• Independent objective event and VOC observation and recording of incidents during
an event, acquiring evidence objectively.
• The independent objective and impartial compliance and incidental occurrences
investigations and acquiring of submissions of any party and its employees which has
been granted accreditation.
• The dispute resolution function ensuring and pursuing non-compliance accountability
practices through the following approach:
- Administration.
- Mediation.
- Internal Informal Adjudication.
- Enabling registered hosting members to keep registered MSPs and their
employees accountable for their responsibilities as contracted and obligated.
- Enabling registered hosting members to set an acceptable standard, grant access
and accreditation to registered MSPs and their employees indefinitely or for a
specified period.
- Enabling registered hosting members to implement any system as they deem fit
to measure and evaluate registered MSPs on an objective performance scale with
appropriate accountability penalties, after all the elements of natural justice have
been taken into consideration.
- Representing, furthering and building the reputation and service delivery standard
of organised business in the industry.
- Ensuring a safe environment of spectators, performers, employees and all
members before, during and after a registered event.
- Any sphere and or geographical area that the executive committee may deem fit
for the furtherance of the sporting, entertainment and event industry
- Empower registered member employees with knowledge on events, service
expectations and obligations, hosting premises, etc.
