Again, the question to ask yourself here is how important each one of
                                               these elements is to you, especially within the framework of some of
                                               the other considerations we’ll look at next. For now, think about these
                                               questions and note your responses:
                                                   •  Autonomy. Do I need to have a high level of control over my work and
                                                   how I do it in order to be happy with my job, my boss, and my work
                                                   environment?
                                                   •  Mastery. Do I need to be able to grow in my job by learning and
                                                   mastering new things on a regular basis, whether that’s new
                                                   technology, a new system, a new nursing skill, or something else?
                                                   •  Purpose.  Do I need to know that the work that I do contributes to the
                                                   greater good of an individual, a community, or worthwhile cause? And
                                                   are each of these types of “greater good” of equal importance within
                                                   my value system, or does one outweigh the others?
