I provided Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice to newer GIS analysts supporting our Coastal Texas
studies and shared methods to reclassify National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) data and combine oyster
layers from US Marine Fisheries to estimate environmental damages that could pose issues to the
project. I have provided guidance to the study teams for levee alignments and estimate damages to
structures due to various storm surge heights. I am also tasked with leading the geospatial team when
the Emergency Management office is active and provide real-time mapping and command support
using ESRI products. My workload also consists of placing orders for remote sensing products from the
Army Geospatial Center (AGC) and once received, I will oversee the orthorectification process QA/QC
for all satellite imagery that is served to the District.
I have an extremely vast knowledge of ArcGIS products and have utilized a lot of 3D and Spatial
Analyst tools to analyze many different issues with our projects and look forward to the continual
           learning that GIS provides.

           Conclusion

Since advancing to the Geospatial Program Manager position, I am now tasked with providing the
means and methods for other GIS analysts to succeed and take more of a management support role
in providing the training, manpower, budgeting and strategic vision to ensure the success of geospatial
within the Galveston District. I have given presentations, written articles, participated in the ESRI
map gallery with multiple year submissions, and had various press releases on the subject of ArcGIS
technology that I have overseen development of or personally developed for Galveston District.
