AN INTERVIEW WITH THE HOMEOWNER

We fell in love with the neighborhood a few years before we bought our home.
It's a quiet, family neighborhood on the beach that ends in a dead end so has
very little traffic. It's a very friendly neighborhood -- in the evenings we often see
our neighbors out walking and stop to chat. A few times a year, neighbors gath-
er at the Scandinavian Center for pot lucks. One of the greatest things about our
neighborhood is how close it is to everything -- the beach, tennis courts, a golf
course, a beautiful walk through the marshes, stores and restaurants are all within
walking distance.

We love having two full bathrooms, it's especially nice in a beach house to have
a downstairs shower to wash off sand. During the winter it is wonderful to sit in
front of the cozy fireplace while we watch movies. One of our favorite spots in
the house is the deck off the master bedroom. We love to take our coffee up
there in the mornings and sit in the sun while we look out over the water and
read the paper.

We are very sad about moving. We love the house and the neighborhood, but
we have bought a house in Pennsylvania and will be spending our summers
there so we have to give up our wonderful house in Fairfield.

We love being in a town with a University. There are always lectures, films and
music events at the Quick Center, which is just a few miles from our house. The
Fairfield Theater Company is also in town and offers great bands and frequent
plays. Other advantages are all the great restaurants in town, the marina where
you can keep your boat, and of course the beaches.
