“And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto Him a woman taken in adultery; and
when they had set her in the midst, They say unto Him, ‘Master, this woman was

taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such
should be stoned: but what sayest thou?’ This they said, tempting Him, that they
might have to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the
ground, as though He heard them not.” (John 8:3 – 6)

The Holy Spirit’s revelation of what the Lord Jesus wrote on the ground the first
time that day is in (John 10:10) “I am come to bring Life.” Amen!

“So when they continued asking Him, He lifted up Himself, and said unto them, ‘He
that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.’ And again He stooped
down, and wrote on the ground.” (John 8:7)

The Holy Spirit’s revelation of what the the Lord Jesus wrote on the ground the
second time that day is in (Romans 3:23) “For all have sinned, and come short of the

glory of God.” Amen!

“And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by
one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the
woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but
the woman, He said unto her, ‘Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man
condemned thee?’ She said, ‘No man, Lord.’ And Jesus said unto her, ‘Neither do I
condemn thee: go, and sin no more.’” (John 8:9 – 11) Amen!

The Holy Spirit’s revelation of what the Lord Jesus was saying to the religious
Jews when He said in John 8:43 ̶ 45, “Why do ye not understand My speech? Even
because ye cannot hear My word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of
your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the
truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his
own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” The Holy Spirit’s revelation of what the
Lord Jesus was actually saying to these religious Jews is confirmed in John 10:26 ̶
28, “But ye believe not, because ye are not of My sheep, as I said unto you. My
sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: And I give unto them
eternal life.” Amen!

It should be noted that the religious followers of a man-made religion in most cases,
can’t hear the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ, nor can they understand His speech.
And that is the reason that a large percentage of them will not receive eternal life.
