The eradication of Polio has been a major focus of Rotarians worldwide and
our club has been in leader in this effort. Through a variety of fundraisers,
our club donated $21,434 to PolioPlus in 2017-18. This total led our district
by over $9,000. When coupled with 2 for 1 matching funds from the Bill &
Melinda Gates foundation, our donation allowed over 100,000 children to
receive Polio vaccinations!
Additionally, club members Paul & Susan Perez (shown
below) traveled to India where they were able to help
administer Polio drops to unvaccinated children as part of
their National Immunization Day campaign.
