Another way to approach that is to make sure you
pay off your credit card by the end of each day you
use it. This is a tip my grandfather told me and It's
how he's been able to hold an 850 credit score
consistently for years.
This is a great way to make sure your debt doesn’t
overcome you if you aren't confident you'll be able
to pay it all off at the end of the month.
Another thing I do (which goes against most gurus
advice) I ONLY use my credit cards to purchase
things. Why? Banks love to see lots of activity on
your credit cards and you paying it off entirely each
month.
If you play the safe route, by hardly using it, lenders
won't see how truly responsible you are with
money. If I can max out my ENTIRE card each
month, but pay it off entirely before the end of the
month, they'll feel a bit more confident that I can
pay off large amounts of debt no problem.
