There are certain rules, which if adhered to, will stand you in good stead to
succeed in the hospitality industry. Ensure you are familiar with the below.
Don’t give away free or discounted food or drinks.
This is considered theft. Any staff giving away food or drinks will face instant
dismissal.
Don’t eat whilst on duty.
Don’t drink where guests can see you.
Don’t consume alcohol whilst on duty and do not turn up for your shift hung-over
or intoxicated.
Don’t swap shifts without authorisation from your manager.
Don’t use chairs or stools to stand on – always use a ladder or a step stool and
ensure ‘best practice’ such as asking another team member to hold the ladder.
Do take care when lifting heavy objects ensuring correct posture and lifting
procedures are adhered to.
Do familiarise yourself with fire evacuation plans and fire equipment in your area.
Don’t use unmarked chemicals.
Do treat your team members with respect.
Do enthusiastically embrace all initiatives of Marchetti.
Do bring your ‘A’ game when you come to work!
Staff are entitled to a
50% DISCOUNT
on staff meals during or immediately
after their shift - as approved by the
manager on duty.
Staff are entitled to a
20% DISCOUNT
when visiting Marchetti outside of
work hours.
