Changes in States of Matter

There are six main changes in states of matter. All of these changes
               reversible in nature.

                   • Freezing – Liquid to Solid
                   • Melting – Solid to Liquid
                   • Vaporization – Liquid to Gas

                   • Condensation – Gas to Liquid
                   • Sublimation – Solid to Gas
                   • Deposition – Gas to Solid

                                             Physical Change

Physical changes are changes that affect a chemical substance's shape,

but not its chemical composition. Physical changes are used to
distinguish mixtures into their component compounds, but the
isolation of compounds into chemical elements or simpler compounds
is not usually possible. Eg: Hammering metal only changes its shape.
