Here is another worked example based on the same formula and
understanding from the previous video. See of you can understand it.

Questions – Based on the knowledge gained so far, attempt the
following questions on density, if all can be solved, you have

               understood the topic.

Q1. 500 grams of sugar occupies a volume of 0.315 litres. What is the
density of the sugar in grams per millilitre?

Q2. The density of a substance is 1.63 grams per millilitre. What is the
mass of 0.25 litres of the substance in grams?

Q3. The density of pure solid copper is 8.94 grams per millilitre. What

volume does 5 kilograms of copper occupy?

Q4. Two liquids, A and B, have densities 0.75 grams per millilitre and
1.14 grams per millilitre, respectively. When both liquids are poured
into a container, one liquid floats on top of the other. Which liquid is

               on top?

Q5. The density of water is 1000kg/m and oil is 880kg/m , when both
                                                                                          3
                                                                3
were poured together into a flask, which will float and which will sink?

               Answers: 1. 1.587 grams per millilitre, 2. 407.5 grams, 3. 559 millilitre,
               4. Liquid A (lighter density), 5. Water will sink and Oil will float.
