A . CONCRETE STRUCTURE WORKS DESIGN CRITERIA REPORT

1- INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this document is to summarize the structural system, codes, loads,

programs and the standards that will be used in the design of the project.

More specific design information will be provided during detail design phase.

2 - PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND STRUCTURAL SYSTEM

The project consists of one villa consist of Ground, First, Roof. As detailed in the

Architectural drawings. Cast-in-situ reinforced concrete framing system consisting

of beams and columns, hollow block slabs with marginal beams and hidden beam

where required is being used and is considered to be the most economical and ideal

system for this project. No expansion joints are considered in the building

dimensions are within the acceptable limits.

3 - DESIGN CODES AND STANDARDS

The design and specification of work are in accordance with the following codes

and standards:

The design of the structural concrete follows the recommended practices of:

 Saudi building code (SBC).

 Materials will generally follow the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality

Organization (SASO) & standard specifications of the American Society for

Testing and Materials (ASTM).
