-----WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST & crew----

Esther Pak/Ensemble is a sixth grader in Tenafly middle
school. Esther has been in mini shows but this is her first big
show. She is very excited to be in the cast of “Bye Bye Bird-
ie.” She learned her performance skills from martial arts (Tae
Kwon Do) and from other activities. Esther loves to dance
and sing. Her family encourages her to pursue her hobby of
acting and dancing. She thanks her family and friends for
coming and she thanks everyone in the cast especially Mrs.
Vardy. She hopes everyone enjoys the show.

Guy Persitz/Mr. Harry MacAfee is thrilled to participate
for the second time in the TMS production - “Bye Bye Bird-
ie“. After playing the role of Mr. Bucket in last year’s Pro-
duction - “Willy Wonka”, this year he plays the role of Mr.
MacAfee. Guy is a 7th grader on the Purple team, who sings
in the School’s chorus and is a member of the Student Or-
ganization. Outside of school Guy likes to cook. Guy wants
to thank all the other members of the cast and stage crew,
Mrs. Vardy and Mrs. Girvan.

Clara Pimenta/Kim MacAffee is a 6th grader and this is her
first musical she is in. She is part of the Stage Left Children’s
Theatre company where she recently performed in ‘The Orphan
Train’ as several roles. Clara has also been involved in Tenaf-
ly’s Got Talent since 2018 and recently was the overall winner
of the 2019 edition. She has been dancing since the age of 2
years old and she has been singing since she was born. She par-
ticipates in the TMS chorus as well as learning the ukulele.
Clara is very happy that she got to play “mature” Kim Macafee
in the show. She would like to thank her parents for their un-
conditional support and Ms. Vardy and Ms. Girvan for the op-
portunity and guidance in this production. She is very excited to see what the next
year production will be and can’t wait in taking part in it. Enjoy the show!

Jake Pleva/Mr. Johnson/Ensemble is so excited and proud
to be performing as Mr. Johnson and as a member of the
Ensemble in the TMS production of Bye Bye Birdie. This is
his third TMS production and it seems like just yesterday
when he was making his Tenafly debut in the Wizard of Oz!
Jake is really sad that it’s his last year working on a TMS
show as each show has been such a great experience. Out-
side of school, Jake plays alto and baritone saxophone at the
Thurnauer School of Music. He also participates in the
Troop 86 Boy Scouts of Tenafly. Good luck to the entire
cast and crew and thank you for coming to see the show!
