LIMITED WARRANTY

Hill-Rom Company, Inc. (Hill-Rom) has a long tradition of providing superior products and service to our customers. Our
goal is “Total Customer Satisfaction.” In that spirit, Hill-Rom is proud to offer the following warranty.
GENERAL WARRANTY (APPLICABLE UNLESS A SPECIFIC WARRANTY IS LISTED)
No warranties, expressed or implied, as to Hill-Rom products and accessories, are made by Hill-Rom except for the following
limited warranty. Hill-Rom warrants that every new product (to include rail system components and accessories) supplied by
Hill-Rom and properly installed in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the published installation and operation
instructions, will be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a period of one year
(12 months) from the date of installation or start up by authorized personnel, or one-and-one-half years (18 months) from the
date of shipment, whichever ends first. Hill-Rom’s obligation under this warranty is expressly limited to supplying
replacement parts and/or service for, or replacing, at its option, any product which is, in the sole discretion of Hill-Rom,
found to be non-conforming or defective.
SPECIFIC WARRANTIES
Repair or replacement parts, rubber or plastic products (including laminates), will be warranted for 90 days from the invoiced
date of purchase. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the parts covered, which are, in the sole discretion of
Hill-Rom, found to be non-conforming or defective.
THESE WARRANTIES SHALL APPLY ONLY WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CONTINENTAL UNITED
STATES, U.S. TERRITORIES, AND CANADA. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, OF HILL-ROM WITH RESPECT TO MEDICAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERED
SYSTEMS PRODUCTS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
EXCLUSIONS
THE OBLIGATION OF HILL-ROM UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED, AT THE OPTION OF HILL-ROM, TO
THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THOSE PRODUCTS OR PARTS WHICH ARE ACKNOWLEDGED BY
HILL-ROM TO BE NON-CONFORMING OR DEFECTIVE IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP DURING THE
WARRANTY PERIOD. Such repair or replacement will be made without charge to the customer at the customer’s premises,
or at the option of Hill-Rom, at such other location as Hill-Rom may designate. User replaceable items will be provided free 5
of charge, in which case installation of such items will be the user’s responsibility.
These warranties do not cover: (i) defects, damage, or deterioration due to normal use, wear and tear, exposure, corrosion, or
prolonged or improper storage; (ii) normal maintenance service or parts required to be replaced (including oil) or repaired in
the course of normal maintenance service; (iii) damage or defects in packing, seals, belts, hoses, fuses, or lamps (except
LEDs); (iv) damage or defects due to failure to comply with installation, operation, maintenance, or lubrication instructions;
(v) damage or defects due to accident, misuse, alteration, negligence, improper installation of the product or part, use of the
product or part in an improper or excessive manner or for a purpose for which it was not intended, or operation of vacuum
pumps or compressors with improper or insufficient lubricants, or with restricted cooling air circulation, or in excessive
ambient temperatures, or outside published operating parameters; (vi) damage or defects due to inferior substructures, or
construction work; (vii) damage or defects in products or parts exposed to fire or flood or any other condition defined as an
“Act of God”; (viii) damage or defects due to chemical or electrical action; (ix) damage or defects due to the repair of the
product in an unauthorized manner or by unauthorized personnel; (x) damage or defects due to the use of installation of parts
other than genuine Hill-Rom replacement parts with the exception of those substitutes specifically authorized by Hill-Rom;
(xi) malfunction due to radio or other electrical interference; (xii) shipping and/or handling damage.
These warranties do not cover any parts or equipment supplied by Hill-Rom other than medical architectural and engineered
systems products. In particular, it does not cover products or parts obtained by Hill-Rom from suppliers of Hill-Rom, and
Hill-Rom makes no warranty whatsoever with respect to any parts or equipment obtained from any such supplier. Such parts
or equipment will only be covered by such warranties, if any, as may be issued by those suppliers themselves. At Hill-Rom’s
option, Hill-Rom will administer those vendors’ warranties, or refer end-user claims directly to those vendors where
appropriate.
