6.0 Inspection/Replacement Procedures
6.1 V-Belts
Narrow type V-belts are used for this unit. Refer to Table 6-1a & 6-1b for the correct size.

TO THE PACKAGE.
Release all pressure from the package before removing, loosening, or servicing any covers, guards, fittings,
connections, or other devices.
Never perform any maintenance functions while the unit is in operation.
Check the belt tension monthly. Disconnect the main power and remove the beltguard. As
shown in the illustration at right, deflect each V-belt at the center of the drive span with a
spring balance or tension meter at the tension force of Table 6-1. Then check that the average
deflections at the proper tension force are approximately the same values as shown in Table 6-
1.
