UNDER 12 – AGE CO-ORDINATOR’S REPORT
The U12s fielded 4 teams. Blue 2nd, Gold 3rd, Green 11th Red 13th.
The Blue and Gold teams once again participated in the finals whilst the Green and Red teams missed out after losing a few players from their teams.
The age group welcomed a number of new faces and many that had never played the game before.
Congratulations to the boys that made representative teams and those that topped your teams, Runs, Wickets and Averages. To all of our Under 12 players, I hope you enjoyed your season and hope to see you all playing again next year.
Thanks to all the team Coaches, Managers, Umpires, Scorers and weekend support staff on behalf of WPHCCC.

This cricket season has been a season of near misses and close calls for the Green Team. With most of the boys returning for another season, we had three new boys to welcome into the team, Ben and Jack who were new to the game of cricket and Mukund who moved from Melbourne to play with the Green team.
As the coach my objective for the season was to work on the boy’s skills and the way we play the game as young sportsmen, enjoy their cricket and have fun playing it.
Special thanks goes to Bindu for management skills which we couldn’t do without, thank you. Also to all the parent help throughout the season and encouraging your boys.

Comments from the U12 Green Team
Cricket means so much to me and my brother, I wish that I could bat a lot more and bowl up the order a bit. That’s for you Scotty. My favourite moment of bowling was when I bowled two people out and caught someone in the one game. I wish that I could play more often and bowl and catch more people out. - Jack
What I liked most about playing cricket is being part of a great team of mates. I love being on the field bowling and batting, and will very much look forward to playing cricket again next season. - Joshua
Cricket is my favourite sport and is really fun. I think I have improved this year by trying not to hit every ball for six and getting my bowling faster and more accurate. - Anthony
It was a really memorable season for me because of the friendly atmosphere within the team. Scotty was a great and encouraging coach as he wanted us to do our best and always cheers the team up when we were not in an enthusiastic mood. Everyone in the team was a cheerful member. Thanks for a great season. - Mukund
Although our team has not had as successful a season as last year, we have learned a lot, had lots of fun, strengthened our friendships whilst enjoying the game of cricket. - Selwyn
I spend my time with my friends playing the great game. Thank you Scotty for a great year. - Xavier
Cricket means everything to me. My team, my coach, the manager and the scorers. Winning games are great but playing games are even better. Batting is great fun (especially when you don’t get out on a golden duck!!) When you hit the ball for a 4 or a 6, you get a great feeling. Fielding is also fun when you hit the stumps from a great bowl, run the batsman out or catch them out. When the game finishes I am amazed on how well my team mates played, my brother played and I played. - Ben
This season was a great season. I bowled some of the best balls I ever had and was on a hat trick at one stage. I would have liked to have batted a bit better. Most of all, I enjoyed playing the game with my mates and having fun.- Liam
I really like club cricket, it’s fun. It’s fun at training and at the games. I’ve met some of my best friends playing cricket. - Alex
West Pennant Hills cricket has been an incredible experience for me with the outstanding coaches, fun matches and that I improved immensely over the season. The players and coaches have been encouraging and they have helped me achieve my goals. West Pennant Hills cricket club has been the highlight of my cricketing career. - Karvin
We all had a good cricket time, I was able to make some new friends and was pleased with how I played. Overall we had a great season, not because of how many wins we had but because of how much fun we had. - Thank Scotty for all your efforts. - Shashank
Even though we haven’t had the best year, I have really enjoyed playing with all the boys and having such a great coach. I hope to see all the boys back for another year of cricket!! - Harrison
