COVID-19 Preparedness
All faculty participated in a 20-hour course offered through the North
Carolina Association of Independent Schools (NCAIS) of which Greenfield
is a member.
The course, Reimagining School: The Transition from Emergency to Planned Distance
Learning, featured 20 hours of professional development for all faculty. The 20+ hour
blended course was geared towards helping our faculty navigate the transition to
planned distance learning. Our faculty was tasked with tracking their time spent and
creating a personalized portfolio of lessons, tools, ideas, videos, and journal entries to
be used in the months ahead.

How Greenfield has modified the school to ensure safety:

scanner thermometers, hand sanitizer stations throughout campus, water bottle
refilling stations, removal of water fountains, and non-contact forehead thermometers,
a significant increase in cleaning and sanitizing supplies, installation of plexiglass
screens in many public areas of campus including the cafeteria.
