The nursery special fund (GD1/C1CZ00001) finished the period with a credit balance of £ 1000 having started the new financial year with a brought forward balance of £ 1000.

Excess expenditure over income for the period was £ 16K.
Much of the above deficit has been caused by staffing costs as we await the first quarter’s grant of £ 19,500 from Portsmouth City Council.
No funds have yet been transferred to the admin budget towards overheads.
It should be noted that one third of The Haven’s administrator’s salary is charged to GN.
The service is due to go out to tender in 2020.
