DAY 5
Overnight Train - Dong Hoi - Phong Nha
Arrive in Dong Hoi in the morning. Welcome by a local guide at the railway station
and transfer to the hotel for breakfast.
Depart for a full day excursion to Phong Nha Caves to discover an exceptional site
listed as a World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The Phong Nha plateau is probably one of the finest and most remarkable
examples of a complex karsts landscape in Southeast Asia. It shelters some of the
largest natural caves in the world.
From there, depart by boat for about 40 min cruise on the river before reaching Uot
cave's entrance. Continue the visit on foot. If the weather condition permits, visit the
Kho cave as well.
Return to hotel in the late afternoon.
Overnight in Dong Hoi.
