We had 12 of our students travel to Phoenix to participate in AZSEF, the Arizona
Science and Engineering Fair! Over 70% of students participating won awards.
This percentage is competitive with the top science schools in Arizona.
Nine students were inducted into the Eta Sigma Alpha National Homeschool Honor
Society Gamma Omicron Chapter in a ceremony held at Mountain View Baptist
Church. This included the first middle school students to be inducted. The
students inducted must meet more rigorous standards that exceed all other middle
and high school honor societies. The event included a banquet for the inductees
and their families.
Student Council held their first spring picnic at Richardson park. Families were
invited to come get to know each other and games and food were provided. It
was one of the highlight events of the school year.
Student Council Elections were held for the 2017-2018 school year. The office of
president was filled by Alex Boxx-Hampton, vice president elect was Cooper
Dircks, secretary elect was Savannah Baird, treasurer elect was Kate Ewing, high
school representative was Alyssa Molinari, middle school representative was
Joshua Thai, and elementary representative was Logan Smith.
The Quest financial faceoff team competed at the UofA for cash and prizes and
came in second against all other competitors from around the area.
One of our students competed in ISEF (International Science and Engineering
Fair) in Los Angeles, California. We came back with a 3 place win, the first
rd
time any of the Quest students have won an award at ISEF.
