Beginning Irish Step Dance (Ages 7-11) - This exciting course will introduce students to the
rich cultural heritage of Ireland through dancing to traditional music. Students will learn the
fundamentals of Irish dance- timing, body position and footwork, as they learn the beginner
reel and light jig. This course is designed to build skills necessary to progress to Irish Dance
Year 2. Instructor: Christopher McGrory
Ballet Folklorico (Ages 7-Adult) - This course introduces student s to the cultural heritage
of Spain and other countries that have adopted this beautiful dance form. Using traditional
music, students will learn the basics, including body posture and footwork as they learn
beginner routines. The course will move at the pace of the students. All students will be
required to perform at the Fine Arts Festival in May. Instructor: Vianney Zapata

Tap 2 (Ages 7 & Up) - This course is for students who have mastered the basic techniques
from level 1. (This usually takes more than 1 year in the level 1 course. Home practice will
speed up progress of course!) Intermediate tap is a faster paced, challenging, but super fun
course! Students will need stretchy clothing and high-quality Tap shoes (I recommend
Capezio, Bloch, and Leo brands. The cheaper ones at Walmart usually do not make nice
sounds). Pre-requisites: minimum of 1 year in Tap 1, a positive attitude, and dedication to

Acro 2 (Ages 7 & Up) - To ensure safety, students entering Acro 2 must be able to execute
the following with good technique (straight legs and arms, pointed feet, tight core etc):
headstand, bridge walk across 2 mats non- stop, backward roll, 10 pushups, 5 V ups, elbow
plank for 30 seconds, good flexibility (splits or near splits), right AND left cartwheels, 1 arm
cartwheel (right OR left), roundoff, handstand. If you have any questions, please contact

Jazz/ Lyrical Praise Dance (Ages 8 & Up) **May Be Offered 2019-2020** In this FUN
course, intermediate level dancers will further develop their technique and style as we explore
a variety of jazz disciplines including Lyrical, Contemporary, as well as Broadway Jazz. Lyrical
jazz is slow and very expressive, and a beautiful way to praise and worship our Lord.
Contemporary jazz combines modern dance, ballet, and jazz technique. Broadway jazz
emphasizes character and musical theatre skills (without singing). A variety of turns and leaps
will be strengthened. Students are highly encouraged to take at least 1 ballet course and
stretch / strength course along with this course. Prerequisites: At least two years of ballet and
one year of jazz. Special permission may be given to others. Please contact the instructor.

Lyrical Praise 2 (Ages 8 & Up) - Come experience a beautiful new way to worship and
glorify God through this unique dance discipline! Lyrical is a very graceful and expressive art
form that combines ballet, jazz, and modern dance techniques. Pre- requisite: at least 12
months of ballet training. Students need to wear form fitting, stretchy clothing, and jazz
shoes. Students are highly encouraged to simultaneously take a ballet course, leaps / turns
course, acrobatics course, and / or stretch and strength course Instructor: Tanya Fisher
Tap 3 (Ages 8 & Up) - This course is for the dedicated students working to perfect their
technique, increase speed, improve stage presence / showmanship, all while learning and
creating new and interesting rhythms! pre-requisite: at least 12 months in tap level 2.
