HENRI CARTIER-BRESSON
FOUNDATION
Cartier-Bresson is synonymous with
Paris. His photography is renowned
for capturing the early to mid-20th
century everyday life. In 2003, (one
year prior to his death) Henri, along
with his wife and daughter, set up
this Foundation to preserve his work
and make it readily available to the
public. This three-storey, compact,
stark white gallery hosts other
artists’ work at different times, and
a small collection of Henri’s well-
known images. Worth a visit, and as it
is just a hop, skip and jump from La
Cagouille. Why not do both?
