15-29, with approximately 100 new independent feature and short

Running June 24-28, the second part of the Double Feature includes
outdoor screenings, live music, and more. In cooperation with
Scienceworks Hands-On Museum, viewers can watch from a screen-
ing area in the field facing the building. Another venue is Walkabout
Brewing Company in Medford, where last year AIFF held a screen-
ing of The Weight of Water, with over 100 folks wearing glowing
Bluetooth headsets. At the Schneider Museum of Art, AIFF plans to
co-present an exhibition of Cuban art that includes media installa-
tions, supplemented by live cinema performances in the AIFF Film
Center window.

The festival’s approximate 100 new independent feature and short
films have been narrowed from over 600 submissions. With its tradi-
tional emphases on activism and the arts, there will be a special focus
on the theme of “Rising From the Ashes” in recognition of Southern
Art Exhibits | Music | Poetry | Classes | Jewelry Pottery | Sculpture | Oregon’s emergence following a summer of wildfires.

June 24-28, AIFF returns to live events with socially-distanced out-
door screening events in Ashland and Medford (health conditions
allowing). All films will be accompanied by Q&A’s, supplemented
with virtual parties, and mixers bringing filmmakers and audiences
together. AIFF’s annual Membership Sale offers discounts on year-
round benefits, as well as member-only access to early ticket ordering
for limited seating films/events, as well as exclusive events, including
a Live Preview Night, accompanied by a Meet the Programmers. In
May, there will be a members-only Secret Film Screening, a special
online film.
