modern often with minimalism being juxtaposed with the life of the
reclaimed wood. “I like to create a contrast and balance with straight
lines and gravity-defying, geometric metal, and with the wood I am
           using.”

“I visit various lumber yards and mills in the valley. I have done
research to find some really remarkable wood and have traveled to
get my hands on it. I have a 150-year-old slab of redwood that will
become an incredible coffee table to the right client. I have worked
with wood that was flown out of the ocean because fracking punc-
tured some containers carrying lumber that sank to the ocean floor.
I found some great black walnut in the area and made lots of tables
out of those. If you check out Taqueria Picaro in downtown Ashland,
you’ll notice the bar still has the original carriage bolts in it, the lum-
ber being from the Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee.”
