DISTRICT ACTION GROUP ON ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Objectives of District 3300 Action Group on Environmental Sustainability are:

• To create environmental awareness about issues prevalent in our society and communities and assist in developing projects and initiatives to address
these issues through Interact Clubs, Rotaract Clubs and Rotary Clubs.
• To assist Rotary Clubs in implementing service projects, building awareness, and inspiring action toward environmental sustainability.
• To assist Rotary Clubs to work and coordinate with local authorities, government agencies, corporates and NGOs towards environmental
stewardship for the benefit of their communities.

Activities Undertaken To Date:

1. Recycle For Life Project For Interact Clubs
• Initiation of Recycle for Life (RFL) in collaboration with GEC, Cenviro and My Kasih, July 2018.
• Briefing to Youth Service Chairs of Rotary Clubs in Klang Valley, 22 September 2018.
• Briefing on RFL, environment and water quality testing demo at Interact Conference, Kuala Kubu Baru, 4th November 2018
• Briefing on RFL at Rotaract Conference, Felda Resort Trolak 14th January 2019
• Briefing on RFL to Interact Club Councils under various Rotary Clubs
• Launch of RFL project at SMK La Salle Sentul on Earth Day 2019, 22nd April 2019.

3. Tree planting by Rotary Clubs
• Tree planting activities by various Clubs all over the District
