DISTRICT ACTION GROUP ON ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

4. Rotary Day -9th March 2019
• Run, Walk and Plog event organised at three locations- KL, Ipoh and Penang with participation by public, government agencies, Ministers,
Rotary Clubs, Rotaract and Interact Clubs.
• Environmental and health awareness activities and booths
• Plogging along the walk routes to clean up the locality
• Participation by nearly 15 environmental groups/NGOs

5. Rotary International Peace Park at Luas Ponds, Bestari Jaya, Kuala Selangor
• Collaboration between District 3300 and Luas ( Lembaga Urus Air Selangor)
• MOU prepared between District and Luas
• Launch on 29 June 2019 at Bestari Jaya
• Promote the ROTARY PEACE PARK for recreational and youth activities and eco- tourism
• Promote the ROTARY PEACE PARK for recreational and youth activities and eco-tourism
• Projects on 4 areas of Rotary focus to be undertaken on a long term basis: Peace, Economic development Education, Water and Sanitation
• Collaboration with *NISEL, MDKS, SPAN, KATS, GEC, MNS and other NGOs, government and corporate bodies
