14. Steam Sterilization
Cenna Med has validated PreVac steam autoclave sterilization for the Inner Frame HR500-IF. It is in
conjunction with the rigid sterilization containers such as Sklar Sterilization Container product # 10-
4668. The recommended steam sterilization parameters utilizing PreVac autoclave systems are as
follow:

1. Sterilization temperature------- = 132.5-134 degrees of Centigrade (270-272 degrees Fahrenheit )
2. Sterilization pressure ----------- = 220 kPa (32 psi )
3. Sterilization time ---------------- = 4 minutes
4. Drying time ---------------------- = 25 minutes

Note:
These sterilization parameters may vary among hospitals and surgical centers, depending
upon the conditions and the type of autoclaving system used. Therefore, Healthcare facilities
must validate their sterilization process for the HR500 bone mill system.
