Performance Measurement Establishment to Track Sustainability Data
We closely monitor our environmental performance and identify clear sustainability targets. These cover aspects of energy conservation, water conservation, waste management, building system services, indoor air quality, and the use of materials with lower environmental impacts.
Property uses one of Asia’s most comprehensive Building Management Systems (BMS) to extensively track and analyse our energy use patterns, provide a cost analysis and a system performance analysis. Through this system, Property can optimise energy consumption and automate facility control including chiller running.
To further improve temperature and energy control and to enhance the e ciency of data collation, processing and reporting, we installed a Club-wide Energy Management and Control (EMC) software. The EMC system provides the exibility to cover a single meter or an entire facility. This online system allows users to:
• Consolidate data on energy consumption, cost and emissions to track performance and measure progress;
• Compare energy consumption at di erent locations within a single building or in di erent buildings; and
• Track, analyse and report all energy and operational data in a single report.

Material Use
The products that we use in construction can vary in their environmental impact, depending on the manufacturing process involved and source location. The Property Department actively selects materials with a lower embodied environmental impact and, when possible, procures recycled products such as recycled paving blocks.
We also continue to source Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certi ed timber with volatile organic compounds below the statutory requirements where possible.
At SCTC, we use a UV drinking water system, which largely reduces the consumption of plastic waste in the form of bottles.
