In State of Happiness, we follow the story of four young people thrown into a whirlwind of opportunities
with the discovery of oil and its impact on Norwegian society.
It’s the summer of 1969 in the small coastal town of Stavanger, Northern Europe. International oil
companies have been test drilling for years, but nothing has been found and Phillips Petroleum are in the
process of leaving. Then something happens...
The stories of these four young people are being intertwined with each other, and they are all in one
way or another affected by the oil industry and the changes it brought with it: the development of the
welfare state, equal rights, immigration and prosperity.
State of Happiness had an impressive domestic average share of 32% when airing in Norway, with
great views in the other Nordic countries. State of Happiness won Best Screenplay at Cannes Series
Festival 2018 and triumphed at Norwegian TV awards, Gullruten, taking home no less than five awards.

Home Ground is a drama series about Europe’s first female coach for a men’s team in the National
Premier League in Norway.
We follow Helena as she struggles with moving to a new town, balancing life as a single mother and
achieving optimal results on the football field as a coach.
Helena, played by Ane Dahl Torp, best known from the internationally acclaimed film The Wave (2015),
encounters strong resistance from several main characters, including Michael, a soccer pro played by
the former Premier League star John Carew, in a role that has parallels to his own life as a professional
footballer.
54% of viewers are between ages 40-69 and despite its football theme, the series was mostly viewed
by women. In Denmark, the series was also very well received.
