Stages of Egyptian history

There are two divisions to the historical eras that Egypt passed
through:
1- An ancient division of Mantheo: History was divided into
thirty dynasties
2- The division of contemporary historians: This division is based
on eras, and each era includes a group of dynasties, as follows:
1- Prehistory: (Old Stone Age, Middle Stone Age, Neolithic,
Chalcolithic, Predynastic Era, Dynasty Zero)
2- The era of the Old Kingdom: (The Archaic Period “1-2”, the
era of the pyramid builders “3-6”, the collapse stage “7-8”)
3- The First Intermediate Period: includes dynasties 9-10
4- The Middle Kingdom era: includes dynasties 11-12
5- The 2nd Intermediate Period and the Hyksos: includes dynasties
13-17
6- The New Kingdom era: includes dynasties from 18-20
7- The Late Period: includes dynasties from 21-30
