wall of the city, which was later known as “Min Nefer.” Then the
Arabs called it “Memphis,” then it began as “Mit Rahnat,” and
finally it changed to “Mit Rahnat.”
The most important kings of the Second Dynasty:
(Hetepsekhemwy, Nebre, Nethre, Barib-Sen, Khasekhem,
Khasekhemwy)
There was a clear conflict in this dynasty between the supporters
of Horus and Set, and this is evident from the fact that the first of
this dynasty were building their tombs in Saqqara and bore the
Hourus title only, such as Hetepesekhemwy. However, at the end
of the dynasty, they turned to worshiping Set, as his name was
surmounted by the symbol of the god Set, and not Horus as usual,
as It happened during the reign of King Ber-ib-Sin, and a religious
revolution occurred during his reign and continued during the
reign of Khasekhem, until the last king of the family,
Khasekhemwy, came, who ended the conflict and built a tomb for
