Fourth Dynasty:
(Sneferu, Khufu, Djadre, Khafre, Menkaure, Shepseskaf, Khentai
Khaos)
Sneferu: The founder of the Fourth Dynasty. His reign was
known for security, stability, and justice. His reign was
characterized by the expansion of foreign trade, as he sent
expeditions to Phoenicia to bring cedar wood, sent a disciplinary
or a military campaigns to Nubia and the western and eastern
borders, campaigns to mines to extract metals such as turquoise
and copper from Sinai, and completed the Huni pyramid in
Meidum. He made an attempt to create a full-shaped pyramid in
Dahshur, but he did not succeed in completing it. It is called the
bent pyramid (the southern pyramid). This is because the angle of
the building was large and was a dangerous indicator of the
collapse of the building. Therefore, the engineer decided to
reduce the angle of the building and therefore took the curved
shape. Then he succeeded in creating the first complete pyramid
(the Red Pyramid) in Dahshur
