2- The Nile River: It penetrates Egypt from the far south to the
far north and is considered a major factor in the emergence of
civilization in Egypt, as it passed through its lands carrying “all
goodness and prosperity.” Herodotus said Egypt is the gift of the
Nile. In addition to being a major source of water, it is also a
major means of transportation.
