Look at the picture above!
Pempek is a food of Palembang city. There are many types of pempek,
one of them is pempek lenjer. The shape of the pempek lenjer resembles
a cylinder.

The cylinder is a shape that is bounded by two circular planes as the base
and the top and a curved plane as vertical side which is called a curved
surface area.

Lets find objects around you that resemble a cylinder shape!

Objectives of Learning :  Know the definition of cylinder and can give
examples of some cylindrical objects.
 Know the nets of cylinder.
 Determine the formula for the surface area of
cylinder.
 Determine the formula for the volume of cylinder.
Determine the surface area and volume of cylin-
der.
 Solve contextual problems about cylinder.
