“What do you mean?” my mom asked quizzically.
“Wait a minute. You know! The game!”
“How do you know I bought a game? I didn’t even tell Lily,” she said, showing me the game. The
same exact game I got stuck in.
“GET THAT AWAY FROM ME!” I shouted. “Calm down! It’s just a game!”
A Reconciliation of the Not so Distant Past

“So, I finally found you.”
*Time skip to a little further in the future (present-day) *
It was another regular day of school for me. Getting challenged to spelling bees, math contests, elements of the periodic table, and at the same time, being jumped by our combat team. I don’t know why people keep challenging me over and over again or why the combat team wants me to join them. I have never lost a challenge, and I have turned the combat team down so many times that they are not allowed to ask me to join. So now, they are resorting to challenges. Ahhh, I remember when school was so simple.
*Time skip to the first day of school (in the past) *
Today is the first day of high school. All the new students including me, gathered in the assembly hall for introductions. All the other grade levels were there too, which made the assembly even more chaotic. I was sitting in the first row next to all the “important people.”
You see, this is a very prestigious school and only talented, rich people get in. The problem is I am not rich at all. I am here on a scholarship
for the highest scores in combat, magic, practical skills, academics, and all the subjects in between. I know, I’m a genius. Oh, did I mention that I go to a magic school? Magic is a very important aspect of daily life, and I have a dream that I have wanted to reach for a long time now, but to do that, I need to graduate from this school with the highest grades and recommendations. But no one ever takes me seriously. Honestly, the people around me are always looking at me strangely as if they think I am a lost middle schooler. I just ignore them like always.
Finally, the assembly started. There were a few speakers, and they introduced the student council which apparently were the boys sitting next to me. I was getting very bored when... All of the sudden, the
