News from the Wellness Clinic

Hello everyone. We plan to begin administration of influenza vaccines for the 2018/19
the employee wellness clinic. This year’s
season this coming Monday 9/24/18 at
vaccine is indicated for ages 6 months and over. It is available to all full and part-

time employees as well as retirees. It is also available to any household members

(people living in the same home) of these employees. The clinic hours are 8am-noon

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 2pm-6pm on Thursdays. The CDC

recommends that people try to get their influenza immunizations prior to the end of

October. We look forward to seeing all of you and to everyone having a healthy
winter season!

News from the Sheriff’s Office

Five Haywood County Sheriff’s Office deputies recently traveled to Carteret County to

assist with Hurricane Florence relief efforts. Deputies spent time working with the Cedar

Island Volunteer Fire Department and Stacy Volunteer Fire Department. Deputies worked

12 hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as they helped unload supply trucks, make gas and

food deliveries to the elderly and assist with anti-theft efforts in various areas.
