Prof. laurEl tErry
the Ethics and Professionalism Committee, in partnership with the
Miller Becker Center for Professional Responsibility at the University of
Akron, welcomed guest lecturer Professor Laurel terry to the CMBA.
terry is a Professor and H. Laddie Montague Jr. Chair in Law at Penn
State’s Dickinson Law. terry shared with CMBA members a preview
of her remarks titled international Developments, international
networks, and their impact on U.S. Legal ethics which she delivered at
the University of Akron on Friday, April 12.

VoluntEEr training
On April 5, the CMBA’s Section & Committee
Oversight Committee welcomed current and
incoming Section & Committee Chairs for our
annual Leadership luncheon. Renita Jefferson,
a local diversity and inclusion leadership
consultant, provided our volunteers with an
hour of ClE, focused on leading inclusive
meetings. CMBA President-elect ian Friedman
and Ceo Becky Ruppert McMahon thanked
our volunteers for their commitment to
the CMBA. We look forward to a terrific
year of Section & Committee activities!
