Of course, it was Thomas Edison!
He went on to create and develop
more than 1300 inventions. Eventually he
held 1093 patents. However, there are
two success stories here: a mother who
wouldn't give up on her son and a boy
willing to learn, even when faced with
overwhelming difficulties.
No Future at All
A man was said to have no future at
all. He came from a poor family and had
little encouragement to succeed. He
failed many times in business endeavors.
He experienced defeat when he ran for
the Legislature.
He suffered a nervous breakdown.
Then he was defeated when he ran for
the Senate and again when he ran for the
Vice Presidency. In total, he lost twenty-
three elections while winning only three.
