Come Closer
I
heard someone say that he had a
relationship with God for many years.
Yet he did not understand why he should
pray, when he had to wait for the people
who committed offenses against him to
receive their judgment, or he did not
receive an immediate response.
This concerned me. In fact, it was
scary to me since he was speaking from
the pulpit. I wondered how many others
may have this same question. First,
realize that studying the Bible or having a
position in the church does not mean a
relationship with God is established.
For example: I saw a speaker. I know
what he looks like. I know his name. I
could say I know who he is, but do I have
a relationship with him? – No.
