Mark was appointed as Chief Executive of British Sugar in April 2004 and subsequently became Group Chief Executive, AB Sugar when the expanded group was renamed in 2010/11.

consolidation of its position in China and the extending of its reach into Africa through the acquisition of Illovo, Africa’s biggest sugar producer. He also led the establishing of the UK’s largest Bioethanol plant, Vivergo Fuels Ltd, of which ABF now owns 100%.
Prior to joining ABF Mark was Managing Director, Corus Strip Products responsible for two major integrated steel plants in the UK.
