Standard Sizes, Margins, and Type Sizes

Business Cards
Size: 3.5 x 2 • Margins: 1/4” • Type Sizes: Mainline: 12pt Standard, 18pt Script, Body Copy: 8pt.

Letterheads
Size: 8.5 x 11 • Margins: 1/2” on Top and Sides, 3/8” on Bottom.
Type Sizes: Adjusted to ensure proper proportion.

Envelopes
Size: 9.5 x 4.125 • Margins: 3/8” on All Sides • Type Sizes: Adjusted to ensure proper proportion.

Announcements, Fold-R-Cards, and Door Hangers
Margins and type sizes will be adjusted according to the item and amount of copy required.

All artwork that is used in the creation of a job is the property of BCT. If you would like to purchase the artwork to use in other products,
in house use, etc., please call for a quote. These prices are based on Graphic Design Service fees of $60.00 per hour (minimum $15).

Print ready Files

• Email to your customer service rep - make sure you send all information and ordering
instructions with your camera ready art file. Customer service should not be filling out your
ordering info due to verbal communication that gets lost in the other production departments.
• Website - upload files at www.officeprinting.com

• Disks - submit files on a CD or Flash drive
Please specify digital or offset printing and UV Coating if desired!

Preview the file you submit, especially those you accept from your customer. We are not mind
readers and are not sure if your customer wanted the files that way. Files improperly prepared or
having missing elements or problems may be delayed and incur additional preparation fees. All
full color images must be in CMYK format.

General layout requirements

To ensure your order is printed without delay, follow these guidelines.
• 1-up composite - one copy per item, one item per page
• Actual size - document size reflects final product size
• Full Color printing files are CMYK, not RGB
• Spot Color printing files needs to have an assigned Spot color Flowers for All

• Use the mainline of your order for
your file name. Do not use common names such as: business card.pdf,
logo.tif, card.eps, etc.
FILE TYPES ACCEPTED:
• PDF - from any native application. For best results, use the
PDF/x-1a2001 settings in Acrobat Distiller
• EPS - fonts outlined, images embedded
• TIF - high resolution (300 dpi minimum)
• Indesign files version CS5 or lower
