Girl, Move The F*ck On!

In my opinion both sisters were wrong in this situation. No matter how angry Catrina

was there was no need to speak to her sister that way, especially with so many people in their

home. As a sister Catrina confided in Katie about the baby and Katie used that as ammunition

against her just because Katie’s feelings were hurt. This happened 7 years ago and they are still

not speaking to each other. I went by last Christmas and neither sister showed up. All that they

said to each other they let ruin their relationship as sisters. They don’t come to family functions

because they don’t want to run into each other. These sisters who were once so close no longer

have a relationship over a misunderstanding over a man.

This past March we learned that Mr. Nolan had cancer that he had been battling quietly

for a while. He had decided to go to a cancer specialty hospital in Houston as his last resort. He

called both of his girls to come visit, but each of them were more concerned about if the other

sister would show up to the hospital. Mr. Nolan stayed in the hospital for 2 months before

succumbing to the illness. Catrina nor Katie never showed up because they didn’t want to

chance seeing each other. Now they both feel sad and stupid that they chose a feud over seeing

their father in his final days.

I know people have all types of reasons why they feel it’s okay to disown or stay away

from their family. I know people who have loaned their family members money and were never

repaid so they fall out for that reason. I personally believe you should never loan anyone any

money without a written contract. If it’s not in writing it’s a gift. Simple things like money and
