A BRONZE ‘TIGERS’ TRIPOD VESSEL AND COVER, DING
Han Dynasty
The almost spherical vessel and cover supported by three flaring
feet and decorated with engraved bands of twisted rope design, the
vessel with mythical beast and loose ring handles, the cover with three
recumbent tigers at the edge, encircling a further loose ring handle, the
masks and beasts with coral-inset eyes.

Late Qing Dynasty
The baluster body embellished with archaistic motifs including taotie
masks, cicada lappets, scrolls and roundels, the shoulder with raised
bosses, the flaring foot and rolled mouth rim with key fret borders,
