A SMALL GROUP OF PALE JADE
CARVINGS
18th/19th century and later
Comprising: a very pale jade, crisply carved,
reticulated plaque in the shape of a magnolia;
a small white jade Mughal-style carving of a
camel head, mounted in yellow metal, the
bit with cabochon ruby insets; a very small
white jade ‘cats and bat’ group; and a pale
green and russet jade group of two cats on an
oversized leaf.
The camel: 3.2cm high (4).
